Closing Day

Today was our closing day on the house. You may ask what it takes to buy a house... count carpeltunnel as a qualification. At closing, I must have signed one paper for every square foot of the house. We ate out and I had to sign the reciept and I had to muster the strength to get it done. Anyway, an hours worth of signatures and we got the keys!!!

After closing, we met my mom and the boys at the house. The kids had never been on the propert before today. When we went in the house, Andrew saw the living room and said "Alright! this could be our wrestling room!". The kids were so excited! The went from room to room doing summersaults and jumping up and down. The highlight for them must have been when they saw their bedrooms. Needless to say, today was a day that the Flanders family will not soon forget. We believe that our God has given us the house that he reserved just for us. God is SO GOOD!

Here are some other pictures of the boys on the property. The house is has 5 bedrooms and 2600 sq. ft., not counting the basement. The pole barn is 30 x 60. It sits on 2 wooded acresand has a nice sized poarch and above ground swimming pool. Our target date for move in is April 9th. Please pray for the work will be done these next 9 days. To God be the Glory!

House Renovation Information

Dear LBC family and friends,

In about an hour, we will close on the house that the Lord has provided for us! God is good! This note is just a quick thank you for your overwhelming support and generosity to us. The money recieved has allowed more renovating than we thought possible! The many notes and words of encouragement have once again shown us your love for us and for the Lord. I can't imagine life without the Lord, and our church family!

Here are the cleaning, painting, and other details as we see them now.

Tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday will be spent cleaning and hopefully painting. We plan to work each day (Fri and Sat) from 9 am until 7 pm. Anyone who would like is more than welcome to come and help at anytime, for as long as you are able. If you have buckets, rags, painting equipment, or anything else that may be helpful, please bring them along. There is much to be done all over the house, so the more the merrier. Young children are welcome to come and see the house for a time, but should not be at the house for a long period of time. You may want to bring a cup or water bottle. It would also be helpful to have a few cd players... ours are in storage. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to call me at 989-660-9500.

We are looking forward to the work and fellowship! See you soon!

Children's Museum Trip

The boys are on spring break this week... nevermind the 6 inches of snow we got during "spring break". We decided to take a family trip to the Childrens Museum in Flint. We had a great time with the many exhibits and activities in the museum. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Loan Approval!!

We just got word of our conditional loan approval on the house. Basically this outlines a few things that need to be verified, or done to the home, upon which our financing will be approved! All of the conditions are simple and do not seem to pose a problem. Praise the Lord for His provision and goodnesss in our lives! We expect to close on the house around the first week of April!!

House in Clio

Please pray with us this week about a prospective house in Clio. We have seen the Lord lead thus far, and are praying for His will to be done. We should hear about the loan application this week.

First Wrestling Match

Every year for about 3 weeks, BBA has boys wrestling for Grades 1-12. The coach is Mr. Daulton who does a great job teaching and applying the lessons learned to the Christian life. Tonight, Micah had his first match and won 14-4. He was very excited! After the match, we all went home and had our own living room wrestling match. Micah didn't win that one though:) Hope you enjoy the video! Warning: lots of testoserone in the gymn.
